1. Introduction
Welcome to Advocates-connect.com (“the Platform”). These terms and conditions govern your use of the Platform, which provides a directory of lawyers and facilitates communication between users seeking legal services and lawyers offering their services. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Platform.
2. Use of the Platform
2.1 Registration: In order to access certain features of the Platform, you may be required to register and create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information as necessary.
2.2 User Responsibilities: You are solely responsible for your use of the Platform and any interactions, engagements, or transactions conducted through the Platform. You agree to use the Platform in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and in a manner consistent with its intended purpose.
2.3 User Content: You may be able to submit content, including reviews and ratings, on the Platform. By submitting such content, you grant AdvocatesConnect, Uganda a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content.
3. Lawyer Listings
3.1 Lawyer Profiles: The Platform provides listings and profiles of lawyers for informational purposes. AdvocatesConnect, Uganda does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of the information provided in the lawyer profiles. It is your responsibility to conduct due diligence and make an informed decision before engaging a lawyer.
3.2 Lawyer-Client Relationship: The Platform facilitates communication between users and lawyers but does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Any engagement or communication with a lawyer through the Platform is solely between the user and the lawyer. AdvocatesConnect, Uganda is not a party to any agreements or engagements between users and lawyers.
4. Applicable Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Uganda.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
All contacts made and facilitated through this Platform are the sole responsibility of the parties involved. At no time does AdvocatesConnect, Uganda accept responsibility or liability arising from the commitments, performance, or non-performance of any undertakings concluded therefrom. Users of the Platform agree to release AdvocatesConnect, Uganda from any claims, demands, or damages arising out of or in connection with such engagements or transactions.
6. Modifications and Termination
AdvocatesConnect, Uganda reserves the right to modify or terminate the Platform or these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. You are advised to review these terms regularly for any updates or changes.
